Short, Profound, Powerful, ... and TRUE:
In fact, this one is so powerful, it's worth memorizing . . .
IT'S YOUR CHOICE
"If someone wants to follow Me, they must give up the things they want.
They must even be willing to give up their lives to follow Me. ~ Mark 8:34
On one side stands the crowd.
Jeering. Baiting. Demanding.
On the other side stands a peasant.
Swollen lips. Lumpy eye. Lofty promise.
One promises acceptance, ... the other: a cross.
One offers flesh and flash, ... the other offers faith and trials and triumph.
The crowd challenges, "Follow us and fit in."
JESUS promises, "Follow Me and stand out."
They promise to please. GOD promises to save.
GOD looks at you and asks, "Which will be your choice?" ?
~ from "A Gentle Thunder." ~ GRACE FOR THE MOMENT, pg.351.

CHOOSE WISELY . . .
Time & toil & trouble & testing…
yet Life is exuberant, brimming !
with joy! and wonder! . . .
but where? why? & how? did this darkness descend
like a cloud and a claw in the soul.
somewhere in Time, … near the beginning of Time…
back, back, back where the seed first sprang forth:
we all fell for the greatest and most insidious of lies:
"turn away from The Creator! …
and be your own god ." !
THERE was Light & Love betrayed
and Man covered with a cold & lonely darkness
of his own making.
Light Is Love
with freewill
willing to both understand
and obey
the invariable boundaries
of moral choice.
UNDERSTAND:
you are not, …
we are not GOD.
we are His guests & creation.
we are not robots, …
but we must not be rebels
who defy & defile.
Choose wisely:
Choose very wisely
Wwhom
you will serve.

Kurt, question not your worthiness, rather question if you are forgiven, and if you have come to full repentance. For what the Lamb has washed in His blood, is now worthy of the Kingdom. For you are saved by grace through faith, this not of yourself. Neither by your works are you saved, lest you should boast. All men fall short of glory. Therefore, did I send My Son in your stead, to take the burden of your sin. For your belief in Him and obedience to Him have placed you at His right hand in the Day to come. ~ God [Letters from God and His Christ - Volume 1 - Those Whom the Lord Has Cleansed Are Now Clean, and Worthy of the Kingdom]
